Circuit switching is mostly famous in analog telephone networks . Computer networks use packet switching .

Packet switching increases the overall throughput , because it is dynamic , unlike circuit switching , which is static and can lead to router flooding(in case many circuit switched networks are using some particular router or routers for fowrarding packets) and which leads to packet dropping by routers leading to decrease in throughput.

• Minimal transmission latency.
• More reliable as destination can detect the missing packet.

• Cost effective and comparatively cheaper to implement.

Option a is correct packet is used in computer network. Circuit switching is used in telephonic system. And packet switching increase the throughput in comparison to circuit switching
