Answer : reduce the demand on short-term memory.

Short-term memory or primary memory or active memory is the capacity for holding, but not manipulating, a small amount of information  in an active entity. The duration of short-term memory is in seconds. From this fact we can understand if we reduce the demand on short term memory then it will be helpful in designing process of user interface.
