Rank of a matrix is dimension of its row/column's space.

So, 1 and 2 are correct .

A single pivot element is not related with rank. If it were number of pivot element,then it's right . So, 3 is incorrect.

Number of non zero rows in an echelon matrix represent number of independent rows and hence rank. 4 is correct
