If you have internet connection try sincerely to do a course "CS50" offered by harvard. It will not directly help in GATE, but your programming and problem solving skills will be improved a lot. I started the course and left it halfway. If I get the time, I would do it again. Write a simple program everyday. This will definitely improve your problem solving skills. replyShare Samujjal Das commented Mar 31, 2017 reply Follow flag @JanakyMurthy can it be found in coursera? replyShare janakyMurthy commented Mar 31, 2017 reply Follow flag https://cs50.harvard.edu/ https://www.edx.org/course/introduction-computer-science-harvardx-cs50x replyShare Samujjal Das commented Mar 31, 2017 reply Follow flag Thanks a lot :-) replyShare janakyMurthy commented Mar 31, 2017 reply Follow flag You can also look at this curriculum. This was posted in fb group today. https://github.com/open-source-society/computer-science replyShare Samujjal Das commented Mar 31, 2017 reply Follow flag Surely will do :-) replyShare srestha commented Mar 31, 2017 reply Follow flag @ janakyMurthy what is procedure here? Is there video lecture available or witing program only? replyShare janakyMurthy commented Mar 31, 2017 reply Follow flag @Sreshta Video Lectures are available but they are not formal like the traditional lectures. Video lectures are useful for complete beginners. Else we can learn a lot just by doing the problem sets. They are really good and we will have good basics in programming . I did the EDX course which uses C language. But it is not a advanced course. Probably aimed at first and second year students. replyShare Bikram commented Apr 1, 2017 reply Follow flag @arnav 1. https://www.mixcloud.com/Coursehunt/abhi-bharadwaj-kiran-kumar-and-arvind-devaraj-on-gate-preparation-strategies/ 2. http://coursehunt.net/beginning-gate-computer-science-preparation/ ( this have 2 separate audio's ) listen to them , they have your answers .. and join tomorrows webinar with AIR 11 and AIR 33 at 3 PM sharply .. ask these doubts to them.. hope it helps. Do each and every assignment the course has. Once you are done with this course do https://www.udacity.com/course/programming-foundations-with-python--ud036. Wipro sacked me this year even being loyal for 4 years. I too graduated in 2012 and got same 7 marks and 13 marks in 2016 and 2017 respectively. Maybe I will also end up in a third tier university for doing MTech. Is there anything more humorous than seeing someone in same situation. I like your story because it is a kind of my story. replyShare sushmita commented May 5, 2017 reply Follow flag I resigned from tcs and now I don't know what to do. It's so depressing situation. I dnt want to do mtech from nit and just hoping for iiits but if I dnt get in there I dnt know where will my future be. Now I really regret my decision of resignation. replyShare forever_Learner commented Dec 6, 2020 reply Follow flag 404 error, Is there any source from where I could be able to listen to that webinar? replyShare Please log in or register to add a comment.
