Let y is cache miss ratio

40= 150y+ (1-y)50

Solving it u will get y= .10 so In % it is 10

40 = 150y + 50 - 50y

40 = 100y + 50

-10 = 100y

-1 = 10 y 

y = - 0.1 

it gives negative answer  

how it could be answer ?

cache hit 50ns and cache miss 100ns

therefore atleast avg acc time must be greater than 50ns .
