Had our college used this, I'm sure I won't be answering this question here. You can use any standard C compiler- but Turbo C is not one. As per C grammar 0 is octal constant as given in C standard. This is relevant only for grammar purpose as 0 is same for both octal and decimal representation. What a '0' prefix to a number does is to tell the C compiler to consider the number as octal -- won't make a difference for 0. Turbo C is something which deserves a ban in India. Just google and see how people abroad make fun of Indians for using this and asking stupid questions in C. They do have a point here. 0 votes 0 votes Arjun commented May 23, 2016 reply Follow Share https://www.quora.com/Why-is-Turbo-C++-still-being-used-in-Indian-Schools-and-Colleges https://www.quora.com/Why-should-we-not-use-Turbo-C++ https://www.quora.com/Why-universities-in-India-Still-use-turboC-instead-of-gcc Hope you get the answer.. 1 votes 1 votes Sourabh Kumar commented May 24, 2016 reply Follow Share thanx arjun sir 0 votes 0 votes Please log in or register to add a comment.
